The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Forestville. The victim is 18-year-old Kendall Batson of District Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On May 11, 2023, at approximately 6:35 pm, officers responded to a parking lot in the 2300 block of Ritchie Road. Batson was located suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
