The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision. The deceased pedestrian is 70-year-old Marcos Gonzalez-Chavez of Chillum.
On December 12, 2023, at approximately 6:00 am, officers responded to the 5900 block of Riggs Road
in Chillum. Once on scene, they located the
pedestrian in the roadway suffering from trauma. He was pronounced deceased
on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver
struck the pedestrian in the northbound lanes
of Riggs Road. The driver remained on the scene. He
was not injured.
