Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening in Suitland. The victim is 31-year-old Donnell Tyler of District Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On March
21, 2024, at approximately 7:30 pm, officers responded to the 4600 block of
Silver Hill Road for the report of a shooting. Officers located
Tyler in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead
on the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
