The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a moped on Monday in Accokeek. The deceased rider is 52-year-old Jamie Richardson of Accokeek.
On April 8, 2024, at approximately 9:15 pm, officers responded to a collision in the area of Indian Head Highway and Manning Road West.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, who was riding a moped, was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross over Indian Head Highway. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The involved driver remained on the scene and was not injured.
