Police Make Multiple Arrests in District Heights Homicide

Prince George’s County Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of Marvin Tomlinson, 31, that occurred in District Heights, Maryland.
On November 15, 2011, at approximately 9:38 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 2100 block of County Road for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found Tomlinson near a playground of an apartment complex suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives quickly developed Trevon Marquise Montgomery, 17, of the 3000 block of Brightseat Road in Landover; Dominic Carl Givens, 20, of the 2500 block Markham Lane in Landover; Ronald Jurohn Minor, 17, of the 6900 block of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights; and Dajaun Jamal Brooks, 18, of the 3000 block of Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, as suspects and obtained arrest warrants for each.
Montgomery was arrested on November 17, 2011; Minor turned himself in to authorities on November 25, 2011; and Brooks was arrested on December 14, 2011.  All three have been remanded to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections on a no bond status.  Givens was arrested in Raleigh, North Carolina on December 9, 2011 and is currently awaiting extradition.  All have been charged with 1st Degree Murder.
