PGPD Inspector General Participates in Hispanic Heroes Workshop

PGPD Inspector General Carlos Acosta

If you ask Inspector General Carlos Acosta if he’s a hero, he will adamantly reply no. But, if you were to ask the students that met him at The Hispanic Youth Institute (HYI) they would say otherwise. The Inspector General for The Prince George’s County Police Department is an instrumental volunteer who participates in The Hispanic Heroes Workshop. This workshop invites prominent members of the community who inspire students to go to college and become professionals. The Hispanic Youth Institute (HYI) is a national program of the Hispanic College Fund that brings together over 100 local high school students for a week-long college campus experience. We are proud to acknowledge Mr. Acosta and his efforts to encourage and motivate our future generation of leaders.
