PGPD, Other Public Safety Agencies to Provide Christmas Food Baskets for County Seniors

The Prince George’s County Police Department is partnering with other public safety agencies in the county to bring some joy to some of the most mature members of our community this holiday season.  For nearly 30 years, the Prince George’s County Public Safety Assistance Program has been providing food baskets to thousands of people in need.  This year, the goal of delivering 3,000 food baskets is within our reach! That process is already underway. Police officers, firefighters and sheriff’s deputies have stood side by side all across the county to share the baskets with deserving community members.

This Monday county officials will gather at the Bunker Hill Fire Station #855 in Brentwood to pack several dozen additional baskets and to enjoy a fireman’s breakfast together.  Reporters are welcome and arrangements can be made for morning live shots.  Following the breakfast, directors of county public safety agencies and county officials will share a few remarks before escorting Santa Claus to a nearby senior home and elementary school.
