PGPD Investigates Murder in Lewisdale


Updated March 1, 2013: The preliminary investigation suggests the suspect(s) were operating a gold or tan 4-door Toyota Corolla with MD tags.  Detectives believe the suspect(s) exited the vehicle and approached the victim as he was walking down 24th Avenue.  A confrontation ensued and the victim was shot. Detectives are still working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a murder in Lewisdale.  The victim is identified as 18-year-old Meyder Bladimir Yuman of the 2200 block of Lewisdale Drive in Lewisdale.

On February 28, 2013, at approximately 7:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 7200 block of 24th Avenue for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found Yuman outside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
