PGPD Investigates Murder of Alphonso Drew


The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a murder in Brandywine.  The victim is identified as 55-year-old Alphonso Ray Drew of the 12900 block of Cherry Tree Crossing Road in Brandywine.

On May 12, 2013, at approximately 5:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 12900 block of Cherry Tree Crossing Road for check on the welfare call. Patrol officers arrived on scene and found Drew unresponsive inside his home.  He was pronounced dead on scene.

An autopsy conducted this morning determined the victim died as a result of blunt force trauma.  Detectives are working to establish suspect(s) and motive.
