PGPD "Running the Beat" in Hillcrest Heights


In support of the county-wide Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative (TNI), the Prince George’s County Police Department will once again be “Running the Beat.” The first run of 2013 will take place in Hillcrest Heights on Wednesday.  PGPD command staff, officers and members of Academy Session 123 & 124 will lace up for the three-mile run. The goal of “Running the Beat” is to engage the community and be a visible presence in these neighborhoods.  Other TNI focus areas include Langley Park, East Riverdale/Bladensburg, Forestville/Capitol Heights, Kentland/Palmer Park, Marlow Heights and Glassmanor/Oxon Hill.  Members of the community are encouraged to participate in these runs.  Members of the media are also welcome to attend.
