PGPD Playing Charity Hockey Game in New York

Members of the Prince George’s County Police Department are warming up for a charity hockey event in New York this weekend.  The FOP 89ers ice hockey team includes sworn and civilian members of the PGPD. They’re partnering with the National Capital Region Military Hockey Team to form the “DC Stars”.  The “DC Stars” will take on the Suffolk County Police Department Hockey Team in New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum this Saturday.

The tournament benefits the Suffolk County Police Department’s Memorial Fund.  If you’re up for a road trip, our community is encouraged to attend and cheer on the “DC Stars” while benefitting a great cause!  See the attached flyer below to order tickets.  Later that day after the charity event, the Washington Capitals will face the New York Islanders on the same ice.
