PGPD Investigates Homicide in Oxon Hill

Updated April 4, 2014: The Prince George’s County Police Department has arrested a suspect for the murder of Vincent Kyler. The suspect is identified as 24-year-old Odell Quarles III of the 5300 block of Kenmont Road in Oxon Hill.

Investigative developments led detectives to identify Quarles as a suspect early in the investigation and an arrest warrant was obtained. Quarles was arrested on April 3, 2014, at about 1:00 pm at a home in the 600 block of Audrey Lane in Oxon Hill.
Detectives believe the motive is drug-related. Quarles faces first degree murder and related charges. He remains in custody at the Department of Corrections. The investigation is on-going.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Oxon Hill. The victim is identified as 35-year-old Vincent Toussaunt Kyler of the 3300 block of Saint Mary’s View Road in Accokeek.

On April 2, 2014, at about 5:15 pm, patrol officers were called to the 600 block of Audrey Lane for a shooting.  When they arrived, they found Kyler suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a car.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
