PGPD Makes Quick Arrests in District Heights Homicide

The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit arrested three suspects in connection with a homicide in District Heights on Thursday.  The victim is 36-year-old Tommie Lewis Moore, Jr., of Gateway Boulevard in District Heights.  The suspects are 23-year-old Jaron Darius Kent and 28-year-old Ronald Kent, both of the 2700 block of Langston Place in Southeast Washington, and 28-year-old Roberto Miles of the 6600 block of Atwood Street in District Heights.

On December 4, 2014, at about 1:30 am, patrol officers with the District Heights Police Department and the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the 6300 block of Gateway Boulevard for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Moore suffering from gunshot wounds inside his home. He was pronounced dead on the scene.


The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was shot during a targeted residential robbery.


The suspects are charged with first degree murder and are in custody at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
