PGPD to Canvass Bladensburg Community in Sexual Assaults Investigation

This evening, Prince George’s County Police detectives will canvass a Bladensburg community seeking information in connection with a sexual assault this week.

On February 25, 2015, at about 7:45 pm, a man sexually assaulted a victim in the 4100 block of 54th Avenue. The victim had been walking in the area at the time.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 – 40 years old and around 6’0” tall. He was wearing a blue and white knit cap, a blue scarf and a black jacket.

Our detectives are preliminarily linking this suspect to two additional sexual assaults in that area in 2014. The first occurred on September 8, 2014, at about 6:45 pm. A man sexually assaulted a victim as she walked on a wooded trail in the 5100 block of Quincy Street. On October 20, 2014, at about 8:45 pm, a man assaulted a victim in the 5800 block of Annapolis Road.

Detectives will canvass the area this evening. That canvass will begin at 6:30 pm in the shopping center parking lot at 5416 Annapolis Road.

Anyone with information on any of these cases or the suspect’s identity is urged to call the CID Sexual Assault Unit at (301) 772-4908.
