Prince George's County Police Department Homicide Unit detectives arrested three suspects in connection with a homicide in Riverdale last Wednesday. The suspects are 16-year-old Kevin Ronaldo Pena-Lopez of the 4800 block of Gallatin Street in Hyattsville, 23-year-old Jovani Rene Cruz of the 4800 block of Gallatin Street in Hyattsville and 18-year-old Jeyson Arturo Lazo-Argueta of the 5800 block of 66th Avenue in Riverdale.

On March 11, 2015, shortly after 11:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5100 block of Edmonston Road for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived, patrol officers found 18-year-old Rashad Jamal Clarke nearby suffering from trauma to the body. Clarke was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals Clarke and a group of friends got into a fight with a second group that included the three suspects. During the dispute, Clarke was assaulted and fatally wounded.

The three suspects are each charged with first and second degree murder. Pena-Lopez is charged as an adult. Detectives believe there may be additional suspects involved in the attack on the victim and are encouraging anyone with information to contact investigators.
