PGPD Investigates Homicide in Glenarden

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Glenarden. The victim is 22-year-old Pierre Rafael Edwards of Washington Place in Northeast Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On May 30, 2015, at about 5:00 pm, patrol officers with the Glenarden and Prince George's County Police Departments were called to the 2800 block of Hornbeam Court for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Edwards outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
