WANTED WEDNESDAY

Sexual Assault Suspect


Detectives today released this sketch of the suspect wanted for a sexual assault in Mitchellville. The man assaulted a woman at about 5:40 am on April 29th in the 11000 block of Lake Arbor Way. Our investigation reveals he approached the 19-year-old victim as she was walking and forced her into a nearby field where he sexually assaulted her. He implied he had a gun. The suspect is a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5’6” – 5’7”, with a thin to average build and freckles. He wore a black-hooded jacket and a nylon skull cap at the time of the assault. Detectives are canvassing the area tonight at 7:00 pm looking for information in the case. Tipsters will not have to give their name and could be eligible for a $25,000 reward.


Suspect Linked to Three Robberies


Our Robbery Unit is working to identify this suspect who is now linked to robbing the same convenience store three times since January. The most recent robbery happened on May 1st at about 2:15 am. The suspect walked into the store in the 7400 block of Central Avenue in Capitol Heights and demanded cash. The employees complied. No one was hurt. Detectives have linked this suspect to robbing the same store in April and February of this year. The tipster who helps us identify and arrest this suspect could get a cash reward. Pharmacy Robbery


We’re also working to arrest these two suspects who robbed a Beltsville pharmacy. The suspects ran into the business in the 10800 block of Rhode Island Avenue on May 2nd at about 10:30 am. Both suspects had guns. They demanded cash and prescription medication from the employees. If you have information on their identities, please call our Robbery Unit at 301-772-4905.
