PGPD Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Clinton

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision in Clinton. The victim is 24-year-old Rashawn Briggs Jr. of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills.

On July 26, 2015, at about 8:15 pm, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Old Branch Avenue and Allentown Way for the report of a motorcycle accident. When officers arrived, they found Briggs suffering from critical injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Preliminarily, the investigation reveals a car heading southbound on Old Branch Avenue tried to make a left turn into a parking lot, turning in front of Briggs who was heading northbound. Briggs was thrown from his motorcycle during the collision.
