PGPD Makes Quick Arrest in Temple Hills Homicide

GiGi Thomas

The Prince George’s County Police Department made a quick arrest in connection with a homicide in Temple Hills. The suspect is 45-year-old GiGi Marie Thomas of the 5700 block of Linda Lane in Temple Hills. The victim is 42-year-old Devale Lamont Avery of Clear Creek Drive in Fort Washington. Detectives do not believe this was a random act.

On October 16, 2015, about 7:50 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5700 block of Linda Lane for a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a man inside suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Preliminarily, it appears an argument between the suspect and victim escalated into the fatal stabbing. Thomas is facing a charge of first degree murder and is being held on a no bond status, at the Department of Corrections.
