PGPD Searching for Driver in Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run in Oxon Hill

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Oxon Hill last night. The victim is 60-year-old James Arthur Sanders of Belfast Drive in Fort Washington. Investigators would like to talk to anyone who witnessed or has any information on this case. The striking car is described as a gray or white Ford Mustang with a racing stripe, possibly with front end damage. 

Patrol officers were called to the 6600 block of Livingston Road around 11:30 pm. When they arrived, they found Sanders in the roadway suffering from critical injuries. He died a short time later at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was standing in the roadway when he was hit by the car. The car was heading northbound on Livingston Road. The victim was not in a crosswalk. The driver did not stop.
