PGPD Investigates Fatal Crash Involving Child in Clinton

The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Clinton. The victim is nine-year-old Daichell Brown of Bolero Court in Clinton.

On November 2, 2015, at about 5:10 pm, patrol officers were called to Woodyard Road and Canberra Drive for the report of a crash involving two cars. When they arrived, they discovered Brown suffering from critical injuries. She died at a hospital a short time later.

The preliminary investigation reveals Brown was a passenger in a car heading northbound on Woodyard Road. Preliminarily, it appears the driver failed to yield the right of way when trying to make a left turn onto Canberra Drive. The car struck a second car that had been heading southbound on Woodyard Road. The driver of Brown's car wasn't hurt. The second driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
