PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Brandywine

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Brandywine. The victims are 22-year-old David Bonilla of Sligo Parkway in Hyattsville and 24-year-old Marlon Misael of Beverly Park Drive in Springfield, VA.

On June 30th, around 11:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 11300 block of North Keys Road for a crash involving one car. The driver, Bonilla, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. His passenger, Misael, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation reveals the car was traveling westbound in the opposing traffic lane on North Keys Road, when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle lost control and struck a tree.
