WANTED WEDNESDAY

Homicide Investigation



We’re starting Wanted Wednesday this week with a request to our community for any information in a homicide investigation from 2016.  The victim, 28-year-old Karl Anthony Sellers, was shot and killed nearly one year ago. On November 14th, 2016, at about 10:30 pm, officers with the Bladensburg Police Department were called to the 5000 block of 57th Avenue to help a man with a suspected medical emergency. The officers found the victim inside of an apartment building and discovered he was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead a short time later. We would like to provide his family with answers and are asking anyone with information to please call 1-866-411-TIPS. You will not have to give your name.



Burglary Investigation


Next up, we’re sharing pictures of two suspects linked to a burglary in Laurel. The home on Dove Circle was broken into on September 19th.  A credit card taken during that burglary was later used at a drugstore in the county.  Anyone with information on this burglary is asked to please call 301-937-0910.


Attempted Robbery Investigation


Detectives are also working to identify these two suspects. They’re wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in Fort Washington. The preliminary investigation reveals the suspects approached a victim and demanded money. The victim was also pushed to the ground. The suspects ran away without any money. Theft Suspect


The suspect is this photo is linked to a theft on Old Baltimore Pike in Beltsville on September 27th. During that theft, a power washer and leaf blower were stolen. Anyone with information on this case is asked to please call 301-937-0910.
