Detectives Investigate Homicide in Landover

Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Landover. The victim is 30-year-old David Knott Jr. of Kipling Parkway in District Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act.

On January 4th, at about 3:45 pm, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Hill Road and Willow Hill Drive for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim inside of a SUV suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on January 5th.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
