PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Langley Park


The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Langley Park. The victim is 43-year-old Domingo Hernandez-Vasquez of no fixed address. 
On September 22nd, at approximately 9:50 pm, patrol officers responded to the 7900 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, an adult male, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries on September 24th.  The driver of the involved car remained on the scene.

The investigation reveals the driver was traveling northbound on New Hampshire Avenue. The pedestrian was struck as he tried to cross over New Hampshire Avenue. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was in or near the crosswalk but appears he was walking against the pedestrian signal.
