The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with a now fatal shooting in Temple Hills on Sunday. The suspect is 20-year-old Keyri Escalante of Fort Washington. The victim is 18-year-old Darlyn Florian-Granados of Alexandria, VA.
On July 13, 2025, at approximately 3:20 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 5400 block of Broadwater Street. Once on scene, officers located the victim inside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died on July 15, 2025.
Immediately after the shooting, detectives with the Gun Crimes Unit responded to the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect and victim were at a party when the shooting occurred. Gun Crimes Unit detectives charged the suspect with attempted murder and transported her to the Department of Corrections where she remains.
Homicide Unit detectives assumed the investigation following the victim’s death. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging her with first and second degree murder.
The circumstances for the shooting remains under investigation.
