Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting which left one man dead yesterday evening in District Heights, Maryland.
On November 15, 2011, at approximately 9:38 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 2100 block of County Road for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found the victim near a playground of an apartment complex suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim, identified as Marvin Tomlinson, 31, of the 6600 block of Atwood Street, District Heights, Maryland, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives are currently working to identify the suspect and establish a motive.
