PGPD Announces Arrest in Murder on Terrace Drive

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested 24 year-old Audrea Archer Blackwell in connection with the murder of Ashley Hope McClurkin in Suitland, Maryland.

On March 31, 2012, at approximately 7:06 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 3500 block of Terrace Drive for a 911 call of unknown trouble.  Upon arrival, officers found McClurkin, of the 3500 block of Terrace Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound.  She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives identified Blackwell, of the 2700 block of Fairlawn Street in Temple Hills, Maryland, as the suspect in this case.  Blackwell has been charged with first degree murder and has been remanded to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
