Police Make Quick Arrest in Capitol Heights Murder

The Prince George's County Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Travis Everett Hoskins for the murder of Oliver Gregson Davis in Capitol Heights.

Hoskins of the 700 block of Glacier Avenue, was arrested in Washington D.C., and charged with first degree murder. He is awaiting extradition to Prince George's County.  

On August 11, 2012, at approximately 1:54 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 700 block of Glacier Avenue in Capitol Heights for a call of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Davis, 29, of the 700 block of Glacier Avenue, fatally shot inside the residence. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The investigation revealed Hoskins and Davis resided together in the home. Both Hoskins and Davis were arguing over food when Hoskins retrieved a firearm and fatally shot Davis. Hoskins fled the scene, and was captured today by the PGPD.
