PGPD Arrests Suspect Linked to Two Bank Robberies in Two Days

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a suspect wanted in connection with two bank robberies this week. The suspect is identified as 43-year-old Olandus Devon Campbell of no fixed address.

On October 8, 2013, at about 9:00 am, Campbell robbed the PNC Bank in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill. The preliminary investigation reveals Campbell approached a teller, passed a note and demanded cash. The teller complied. He then ran away. An alert patrol officer canvassing the area spotted Campbell as he was walking in the shopping center. When Campbell was stopped, he immediately admitted his involvement in the robbery and was arrested.

Detectives have also linked Campbell to the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank also in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road. On October 7, 2013, at about 3:20 pm, Campbell walked into the bank, passed the teller a note and demanded cash. The teller complied. Campbell then ran away. 

Campbell faces multiple charges related to the robberies. He remains in custody at the Department of Corrections.
