Overwhelming Community Support to #HelpJoshua

This afternoon, we updated the community on our effort to find the man who stole a child’s wheelchair earlier this week from a Langley Park apartment building.  Since we first shared the surveillance video of our suspect http://goo.gl/XIQITF, we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for the victim, Joshua, and his family.

Thousands of people have spoken out on our social media sites and contacted us to try to #HelpJoshua.

One of those community members is Nikisha Marshall of Upper Marlboro. She and her 11-year-old son Emmanuel graciously donated a wheelchair that Emmanuel has grown out of. They both joined us here at PGPD headquarters Friday for a news conference on the investigation.

Our detectives are working to find this suspect, but we need our community’s help. If anyone has information on this theft, please call us at 301-699-2601. You can always call our Crime Solvers line as well at 1-866-411-TIPS. Tipsters will not have to give their name.
