PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Temple Hills

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Temple Hills. The victim is 51-year-old Jesse Shelton of Varney Street in Southeast Washington.

On April 17, 2015, at about 8:15 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of Brinkley Road for a crash involving a pedestrian. When they arrived, the officers found Shelton in the roadway. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries. 

The preliminary investigation reveals an SUV heading westbound on Brinkley Road struck the victim. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was trying to cross Brinkley Road at the time. He was not in a crosswalk. The driver remained on the scene.
