Detectives Make Quick Arrest in Springdale Homicide

Alonzo Demazio Lloyd

The Prince George’s County Police Department made a quick arrest in connection with a homicide in Springdale. The victim is 21-year-old Jeramey Lamont Williams of Shekhar Court in Springdale. The suspect is 21-year-old Alonzo Demazio Lloyd of the 9400 block of Utica Place in Springdale.

On May 31, 2015, at about 2:15 pm, patrol officers with Maryland-National Capital Park Police and the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to a park in the 9200 block of Ardwick Ardmore Road for the report of a shooting. Four men had suffered gunshot wounds. Williams died of his injuries a short time later at a hospital. A second victim suffered critical injuries. A third victim had a graze wound. The suspect, Lloyd, was treated and released and is currently in custody.

Preliminarily, it appears Williams got into an argument with both Lloyd and the second victim. That argument led to Williams and Lloyd exchanging gunfire. The third victim had no connection to the argument or shooting.

Lloyd has admitted his involvement. He is charged with second degree murder and related offenses.
