Detectives Investigate Homicide in Forestville

The Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide this morning in Forestville. The victim is 28-year-old Desean Michael Chapman of Joyceton Drive in Upper Marlboro. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At about 6:30 am, officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to the 3200 block of Walters Lane for a shooting. The officers found Chapman with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
