Detectives Charge High School Teacher With Sexual Solicitation of a Student

Detectives arrested a teacher in connection with the sexual solicitation of a 16-year-old student at a high school in Lanham. The suspect is 66-year-old Doney Olivieri of the 1300 block of 28^th Street in Southeast DC.

Olivieri is a teacher at DuVal High School. A relative of the victim called police on October 8^th saying Olivieri sent the student inappropriate text messages from June to September of this year. He’s also accused of touching the student on the chest in a classroom in September.

Detectives arrested Olivieri on Monday. He has admitted to sending the inappropriate text messages to the victim. He is charged with sexual solicitation of a minor, fourth degree sexual offense and second degree assault.
