Detectives are investigating a homicide
in the City of Mount Rainier. The victim is 25-year-old German Garcia-Paredes
of Newark Road in Brentwood. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for
information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On August 5th, at about 6:15 am,
patrol officers with the Mount Rainier Police Department responded to the 3500
block of Rhode Island Avenue to check on the welfare of a man found on the
sidewalk. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim suffering from
trauma to his upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to identify a
suspect(s) and motive in this case.
The Prince George’s County Police Department
investigates all homicides within the City of Mount Rainier.
