PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Oxon Hill

Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man late Monday night in Oxon Hill. The victim is 19-year-old Bryant Brooks of Oxon Hill.

On September 30^th, at approximately 10:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Winslow Road for the report of a shooting. Officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. Brooks was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Tiroteo en Oxon Hill

Detectives de la Unidad de Homicidios investigan activamente para identificar y  arrestar al sospechoso que mató a un hombre a tiros en Oxon Hill el lunes en la noche. La víctima fue identificada como Bryant Brooks, de 19 años de edad y vecino de Oxon Hill.

El 30 de septiembre, a eso de las 10:40 pm, oficiales de patrulla acudieron a la cuadra 400 de Winslow Road ante un informe de tiroteo. Al llegar, los oficiales hallaron a la víctima afuera con heridas de bala. A Brooks le declararon muerto en la escena.

Los detectives buscan identificar al sospechoso y establecer un motivo. De manera preliminar, los detectives entienden que no se trata de un crimen al azar.
