A Prince George's County Public Schools teacher is facing charges
in connection with a physical altercation with a student inside of a classroom
at Largo High School on Friday. The teacher is 36-year-old Vivian Noirie
of Paul Drive in Clinton. Detectives are also petitioning for charges against
the student through the juvenile court system.

The physical assaults were caught on cell phone video. Moments after, Prince George's County Police officers were notified and investigators were summoned to the school.
The preliminary investigation reveals the student, a 17-year-old,
was upset with the teacher for contacting the student's parents the night
before and approached the teacher. During that encounter, the student
admits to stepping on the teacher's foot and bumping into the teacher with her
shoulder. The teacher then repeatedly struck the student. School employees
quickly stepped in and separated the teacher and student. Once they were separated,
the student grabbed the teacher from behind and repeatedly struck her before
once again being separated.
The teacher, Noirie, is charged with physical child abuse and
second degree assault. Due to the student's status as a juvenile, we will not
be releasing any further details regarding the nature of the charges detectives
are pursuing against the student.

PGPD Anuncia Caros en Conexión a Altercado Físico
entre Maestra y Estudiante
Una maestra del Sistema de Escuelas
Públicas del Condado de Prince George’s enfrenta cargos en conexión a un
altercado físico con una estudiante ocurrido dentro de un salón en Largo High
School el viernes. La maestra fue identificada como Vivian Noirie, de 36 años
de edad y vecina de Paul Drive en Clinton. Nuestros detectives también
solicitaron que se sometieran cargos contra la estudiante a través del sistema
de cortes juveniles.
El viernes, a eso de las 10:25 am, la
maestra y la estudiante entraron en una confrontación física dentro de un salón
de clases. Ni la estudiante ni la maestra requirieron atención médica.
Las agresiones físicas fueron
grabadas a través de un teléfono celular. Minutos después, se le notificó a
oficiales de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s y éstos acudieron a la
escuela.
La investigación preliminar reveló
que la estudiante, una joven de 17 años, estaba molesta con la maestra por ésta
haber contactado a sus padres la noche antes y se le acercó. Durante ese primer
encuentro, la estudiante admitió haberle pisado el pie a la maestra y chocarle
con el hombro. Luego de esto la maestra agredió a la estudiante repetidamente.
De inmediato hubo oficiales de la escuela que intervinieron para separar a la
maestra y a la estudiante. Ya estando separadas, la estudiante agarró a la
maestra por detrás y le agredió repetidamente antes de que nuevamente las
separaran.
La maestra, Noirie, enfrenta cargos
por abuso físico contra un menor y agresión en segundo grado. Debido al estatus
de la estudiante como juvenil, no estaremos proveyendo mayores detalles sobre
la naturaleza de los cargos que los detectives buscan se presenten contra la
menor.
