PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in New Carrollton

Update - March 3, 2022: The deceased pedestrian has been identified as 71-year-old William Locke of Lanham.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred in New Carrolton. The name of the deceased pedestrian, an adult male, will be released once his family is notified.

On March 2, 2022, at approximately 6:00 am, officers responded to a pedestrian collision in the 7100 block of Good Luck Road.    

The preliminary investigation suggests the driver of the involved vehicle was traveling eastbound. Preliminarily, it appears the driver struck the pedestrian as he attempted to cross the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver remained on scene and was not injured.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Choque Peatonal en New Carrollton

La Unidad de Análisis y Reconstrucción de Choques del Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s investiga un mortal choque peatonal ocurrido en New Carrollton. El nombre del fenecido peatón será divulgado una vez se le notifique a sus familiares.

El 2 de marzo de 2022, a eso de las 6:00 am, oficiales acudieron a un área cerca de la cuadra 7100 de Good Luck Road para atender un choque contra peatón.
