The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred Friday evening in District Heights. The deceased are 48-year-old Emma Bradley of Washington D.C and 29-year-old Marquise Lewis also of Washington D.C.
On May 20, 2022, at approximately 7:50 pm, officers responded to the 5700 block of Marlboro Pike for a collision involving two vehicles. The preliminary investigation reveals that Lewis was driving a SUV that was traveling southbound on Marlboro Pike, when for reasons that remain under investigation, crossed the double yellow line, and struck a pickup truck head-on. Lewis was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a few days later. The driver of the pick-up truck was treated for minor injuries. Bradley, a passenger in the pick-up, was taken to the hospital where she died of her injuries the next day.
