Police Investigate Murder in Capitol Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of Darnell Vincent Furr Jr. in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

On June 5, 2012, at 1:46 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 5000 block of Emo Street for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Furr, 19, of the 2200 block of Wolf Street, Fort Washington, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case. The investigation is ongoing.
