PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Hyattsville

The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Hyattsville.  The victim is identified as 30-year-old Bruce Coppage of no fixed address. 

On May 10, 2014, at about 3:45 am, patrol officers responded to the 5500 block of Ager Road for a pedestrian collision.  When they arrived, they found Coppage in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals that Coppage walked into the path of a car that was heading southbound on Ager Road. He was not in a crosswalk.  The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
