PGPD Searches for Critical Missing Person

Updated May 11, 2014: Ms. Leonard has been found safe.


The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a critical missing woman.  She’s identified as 18-year-old Melanie Virginia Leonard. She was last seen in the 3300 block of 27th Avenue in Temple Hills, MD at about 12:15 pm on May 11, 2014.  Leonard suffers from Autism and is unable to communicate.

Leonard is described as an African American female, medium complexion, 5’2”, and 170 pounds. Her clothing description is unknown, however, she usually wears a head scarf. Leonard has a slight limp when she walks.
