PGPD Announces “Gift Cards for Guns” Event

The Prince George’s County Police Department is once again partnering with the faith community in an upcoming “Gift Cards for Guns” event. Guns will be accepted from anyone who wants to anonymously trade them in. The guns may be in any condition. In return, citizens will receive a gift card valued at $75, $125 or $175, depending on the type of gun. Anyone wishing to participate should come to the collection site with the gun unloaded and in the trunk of their vehicle. A uniformed police officer will greet them at the entrance and provide further instructions. Unwanted ammunition, BB and pellet guns may be disposed of at this event but will not be eligible for a gift card.

PGPD Anuncia Evento de Entrega de Armas “Gift Cards for Guns”

El Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s nuevamente une esfuerzos con la comunidad religiosa para llevar a cabo un evento de entrega de armas a cambio de tarjetas de compras o “Gift Cards for Guns.” Estaremos aceptando armas de cualquier persona que de manera anónima desee entregarlas. Las armas pueden encontrarse en cualquier condición. Como recompensa, quienes hagan la entrega recibirán tarjetas de compras valoradas en $75, $125 y hasta $175, dependiendo del tipo de arma que entreguen. Quien desee participar deberá presentarse en el lugar de recolectas con el arma descargada y guardada dentro del baúl de su vehículo. Un oficial uniformado le recibirá en la entrada y proveerá instrucciones adicionales. Quienes deseen entregar municiones, balines y pistolas de perdigones podrán hacerlo, sin embargo, estas no son elegibles para recibir tarjetas de compras.
