Detectives Arrest Suspect in Landover Hills Homicide

The Homicide Unit has arrested a man in connection with Friday’s homicide in Landover Hills. The suspect is 61-year-old Robert James Crosby of the 4100 block of 71^st Avenue in Landover Hills. 

At about 6:00 pm on July 8th, patrol officers and officers from the Landover Hills Police Department were called to the 4100 block of 71^st Avenue to check on the welfare of a woman inside of her home. Officers found the victim, 62-year-old Lenise Fredericks, suffering from trauma to her upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals the motive is robbery. The victim and suspect were neighbors. Crosby is charged with first degree murder and robbery. He’s in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in Landover Hills

The Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a woman in her Landover Hills home. The victim is 62-year-old Lenise Fredericks of 71^st Avenue. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Attempted First Degree Murder

We are starting this week with a photo of a suspect wanted for six counts of attempted first degree murder and related charges. The suspect is 19-year-old Kenny Anton Keels of Pard Road in Capitol Heights. Attempted Armed Robbery Investigation

These two suspects are wanted for trying to rob a hotel in Oxon Hill on July 2^nd at around 8:15 pm.  They then sped away in this white car.

Convenience Store Theft

This man is wanted for theft. He targeted a convenience store in Laurel on June 22 at approximately 9:00 pm. He made off with about $500 dollars’ worth of items.  Armed Robbery Investigation

We’re ending Wanted Wednesday this week with an update to a case from last week. Through the course of their investigation, our detectives were above to get a photo of one of our suspects. The two suspects robbed a gas station in the 5900 block of Greenbelt Road. They targeted the business on June 23rd at about 9:20 pm. Our investigation revealed that both suspects entered the store posing as customers. One of the suspects pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded cash. PGPD to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Operations Division will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint tonight, Friday, July 1, 2016, from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am. Officers will be focusing on the central portion of the county.
