PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Suitland

UPDATE April 4, 2023: The deceased driver has been identified as 43-year-old Tony Manning of Waldorf.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Saturday in Suitland. The name of the deceased driver will be released once his family is notified.

On April 1, 2023, at approximately 1:40 am, officers responded to the 5900 block of Allentown Road for a two-vehicle collision.  

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was traveling southbound on Allentown Road near Leon Street, when for reasons now under investigation, he crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a sedan. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Town of Cheverly

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a teenager Thursday evening in the town of Cheverly. The victim is 16-year-old Eduardo Saucedo Olmos of Lanham. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. 

On March 30, 2023, at approximately 6:25 pm, officers with the Cheverly Police Department and the PGPD responded to the 6400 block of Landover Road for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victim inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. 

Detectives are working to identify a motive.  

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides in the town of Cheverly.

Detectives Charge Suspect in Domestic-Related Homicide

Daquan White

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a man in connection with a fatal shooting in the unincorporated section of Greenbelt. The suspect is 26-year-old Daquan White of Greenbelt. He is charged with fatally shooting his uncle, 44-year-old Steven Mouring of Suitland.   

On March 30, 2023, at approximately 1:50 pm, officers responded to the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victim in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. 

Responding patrol officers assigned to Division II located the suspect attempting to run from the scene. He was taken into custody without incident. The potential murder weapon was recovered.

The preliminary investigation revealed White shot Mouring during an argument.  

White is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Town of Capitol Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a woman Tuesday night in the town of Capitol Heights. The victim is 62-year-old Lidia Chinchilla De Carrillo of El Salvador. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. 

On March 28, 2023, at approximately 9:10 pm, officers with the Capitol Heights Police Department and the PGPD responded to the 600 block of Drum Avenue for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, the officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
