Suspect in Domestic-Related Murder in Custody

 

Kenton Donaldson

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with the murder of his wife. The suspect is 38-year-old Kenton Donaldson of Oxon Hill. He’s charged with the murder of 33-year-old LeNaiya Donaldson of Oxon Hill.
 
On March 15, 2025, at approximately 10:15 am, a friend of the victim called 911 to report a domestic dispute inside of the victim’s home in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill. Several minutes later, Prince George’s County Public Safety Communications received a second 911 call. This call was made by Kenton Donaldson. He told the call taker he had just stabbed his wife during an argument in her apartment. Kenton Donaldson advised he fled the scene following the murder and was driving to a relative’s home in Virginia. With the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department, he was located and taken into custody.

Once on scene in Oxon Hill, responding Prince George’s County Police patrol officers located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene. 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect stabbed the victim during an argument.

Donaldson is charged with first degree murder and related charges. He remains in custody in Fairfax County pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that took place in Oxon Hill early Saturday morning. The deceased driver is 31-year-old Patrick Bernard Williams Jr. of Oxon Hill.

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 2:20 am, officers responded to the area of northbound Indian Head Highway and the Kerby Hill Road overpass for a single-vehicle collision. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway, when for reasons now under investigation, his vehicle struck a protective barrier and ultimately struck jersey walls.

Suspect in Custody for Murder of Father in Fort Washington

 

Christopher Cooper

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with the murder of his father. The suspect is 22-year-old Christopher Wiley Cooper of Fort Washington. He’s charged with the murder of 59-year-old Patrick Cooper of Fort Washington.

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 5:00 am, officers responded to a home in the 8000 block of Den Meade Avenue for the report of an attempted suicide. Officers located the victim, Patrick Cooper, in the residence suffering from trauma. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Patrol officers also located the suspect, Christopher Cooper, in the home. He was suffering from multiple stab wounds to the abdomen which were self-inflicted. The suspect was transported to a hospital for treatment where he remains with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect fatally assaulted the victim before stabbing himself. An autopsy revealed the victim died from blunt force trauma.
Christopher Cooper is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.

PGPD Gun Intelligence Unit Charges Man for Possession of Illegal Explosive and Ammunition

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Gun Intelligence Unit charged a man for possession of an explosive device as well as the illegal possession of ammunition. The suspect is 43-year-old Robert Criss of Capitol Heights.

 

On March 12, 2025, at approximately 5:35 pm, Prince George’s County Police and Prince George’s County Office of the Fire Marshal Bomb Squad, responded to a storage facility in the 4400 block of Suitland Road.  An employee called 911 after a suspicious device was located in a storage unit that had been rented by Criss. The homemade explosive device, which was determined to be a pipe bomb, was rendered safe by the PGFD Bomb Squad. A subsequent search of the unit also resulted in the discovery of ballistic resistant body armor and a variety of ammunition. Criss is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to a previous criminal conviction. PGPD patrol officers arrested Criss when he returned to the storage facility on March 13, 2025.

 

Criss is currently in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status. This remains an open and active investigation.

 

This case is being handled by the Major Crimes Division Gun Intelligence Unit/ATF Task Force in partnership with the PGPD Homeland Security/Arson Task force, PGFD Bomb Squad, ATF Baltimore Field Division-Arson & Explosive Group, and ATF Hyattsville Field Office Group.
