PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Bladensburg

 The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances of a fatal shooting Wednesday evening. The victim is 28-year-old Brandon Iziah Green of no fixed address. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On September 13, 2023, at approximately 7:20 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 5400 block of Newton Street in the unincorporated section of Bladensburg. The victim was located outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.  

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

Upper Marlboro Fatal Crash Under Investigation

 The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night in the unincorporated section of Upper Marlboro. The deceased driver is 38-year-old Courtney Chapman of Upper Marlboro. 

On September 12, 2023, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers responded to the 6400 block of Chew Road for a single-vehicle collision.  

  

The preliminary investigation revealed Chapman was traveling westbound on Chew Road, when for reasons that remain under investigation, crossed the double yellow line and struck a tree. Chapman was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Detectives Identify and Arrest Two Suspects in Temple Hills Fatal Shooting

The Homicide Unit identified and arrested two suspects in connection with a recent fatal shooting in Temple Hills. The suspects are 18-year-old Carlos Jordan of Temple Hills and 18-year-old Desmann Aikens of Capitol Heights. They are charged in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Davier Tucker of Fort Washington.

On September 5, 2023, at approximately 2:40 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Brinkley Road. The victim was located outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at a hospital several hours later.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed Jordan shot the victim and then Aiken drove Jordan from the shooting scene. The suspects and victim were known to each other.

 

Jordan is charged with first degree murder and related charges. Aiken is charged with accessory after the fact. They are both in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that occurred Monday night in Accokeek. The deceased pedestrian is 24-year-old Adam Emmanuel Douglas of Clinton.  

On September 11, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, officers responded to the 14700 block of Livingston Road. 

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a vehicle was traveling northbound on Livingston Road, when for reasons under investigation, struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain on the scene. Investigators are working to determine the make and model of the striking vehicle.
