The Prince George’s County Police Department has made an arrest in
the 2013 homicide of 23-year-old Nii Akpeng of the 2500 block of Buck Lodge
Terrace in Adelphi. The suspect is 34-year-old Aurain Azoo Delahaye of
Houston Avenue in Takoma Park.
On November 29, 2013, at about 4:50 am, patrol officers were
called to the 3700 block of West Street in Landover for a shooting.
When officers arrived, they discovered Akpeng, who had been shot.
The preliminary investigation suggests Akpeng was shot during a
fight with Delahaye following a party. Detectives don’t believe the two knew
each other.
Delahaye is charged with first and second degree murder and
related charges. He’s being held at the Department of Corrections without bond.
