The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances of a fatal shooting on Monday. The victim is 57-year-old Donald Head of no fixed address. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On November 27, 2023, at approximately 8:25 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in the
unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. Officers
located the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a
hospital where he died a short time later.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a
suspect(s).
Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.
